1. Pick‑up
Collect your order directly from my workshop in Thames, Waikato.

2. Standard delivery
Orders are built in the order they come in. New orders join the back of the queue and move forward on a first‑in, first‑served order. Once your order is finished, I’ll deliver it when I’m already sending other orders to your region. Delivery may be by batch run or freight company—I’ll choose what’s most suitable at the time.

3. Priority delivery
Your order jumps to the next job in the queue, behind any existing priority orders but always ahead of standard ones. This shortens your wait time but doesn’t change how it’s built. Once it’s finished, delivery works the same as Standard—I’ll choose either a batch run or a freight company, depending on what fits best.

Paint Finish:

Let Me Build You a Morris Chair That’s as Honest and Adjustable

I craft this Morris Chair with the same spirit that inspired the original Arts & Crafts movement—a reaction against mass production, and a return to honest, thoughtful design. What you’ll get from me is a chair with a reclining back, moderately high armrests, and a timeless look that’s unmistakably handcrafted.

The defining feature is the hinged back, set between two solid, un-upholstered arms. You can adjust the reclining angle by pegging the arms—simple, sturdy, and built to last. I’ve designed it to hold seat and back cushions, but it’s still comfortable without them, which comes in handy if you’ve just had a bit of rain and the cushions are damp.

I build each one to order, so you’re not just buying a chair—you’re getting something made just for you, with care and precision.

    When ordering macrocarpa furniture choose Tussock, Deep Whiskey or Bronze Rimu. When adding colour to radiata pine select Coastal Dune, Light Oak, Golden Bay which all provide super UV protection and style.
