You can choose from Macrocarpa or Blackwood, both timbers have their own character:

Both timbers perform best when they’re treated like quality outdoor furniture: kept out of harsh, direct sun for long periods, placed on a well‑drained surface, and ideally under a roof or sheltered area. With simple care, they’ll stay looking great and feeling solid for many years.
I use stainless‑steel hardware throughout, and every bench is finished to a high standard — smooth sanding, rounded edges, and no visible screws. Just clean craftsmanship and honest materials.
